Traveling through
Europe , exploring the Netherlands (Holland) and only 48 miles of
Amsterdam-airport (Schiphol/AMS) we do offer you a comfortable place to
stay, quiet-relaxed and very easy to find, only 29 km. to Utrecht and 66
km. to Amsterdam. Just 8km (6 minutes to the motorway A-12). Our
wellknown historic and picturesque village Amerongen is perfect
situated, right in the heart of the Netherlands. Choose this beautifull
place if you want to get the maximum out of your stay in Holland and
avoid loosing hours on finding each night another B&B.
AMERONGEN
is beautifull located at the foot of the Utrecht hillridge, the nature
reserve N.P. “de Utrechtse heuvelrug”, and on the other side our village
borders the old river Rhine. At only 5 minutes walking of our B&B you
will find Amerongen-castle as well as some good and cosy
restaurants, so you can leave your car at our privat parkingplace. Our
N.P. has a lot of walks, cycleroads and mountainbikeroads. Golf is at 9
km.
Our
house is well equiped to receive small groups (families/friends) of 6-8
persons.

It is our pleasure to inform you about the many
possibilities our country offers, including simple routes to reach the
different goals of each day. We want you to have a fine stay with us in
order that your holidays will become an unforgettable succes. In our
beautifull country, with its famous musea "known for the paintings of
Rembrandt, VanGogh, Vermeer and others" is a lot to do !!
It has a
big number of historic old places like Delft (blue porcelan), Gouda and
Alkmaar (cheese), Volendam and Giethoorn, big cities like Amsterdam,
Utrecht or Rotterdam (worlds largest harbourcity- make that boattour).
If you visit the Kröller-Müller Museum in Otterlo at the entrance of
N.P. “de Hooge Veluwe” spend here a whole day, using the free bicycles
included in the entrancefee. The openair museum in Arnhem as well as the
“Apenheul” monkeypark and palace “t Loo” in Apeldoorn are favorites.
Many families with children and adults/grownups specially come to visit
this worldfamous "de Efteling" attractionparc, but also the Burger's
bush /zoo, the Delta-works protecting us against the sea, the
bulbflowerfields, Marurodam minature-country, the Dolfinarium in
Harderwijk are very worthwhile. Our Northsea-shore with the the sandy
beaches is wellknown. For a stay with us we easely can fill you a 3
weeks programm , just let us know your interest. Climing high
churchtowers overlooking the lowland or making canalrides in Utrecht,
Amsterdam or Delft. Canoeïning on one of our rivers or lakes, renting
bicycles to make daytrips in our nice surroundings. Lots of cycleroads
and to begin at our B&B, by ex. through the beautifull woods of our N.P.
or along the Rhine-river to WijkbijDuurstede and Doorn castle-area.
Veenedaal shoppingarcade is just 8 km. cycling of our house.
